Forest Service Brush Piles On The Side Of The Highway In Oregon
Our Forest Service doesn’t understand the many benefits of burning to char. Here are pictures we took of the burn piles on the side of the highway in Oregon. When fire season is over, our forest service heads out to burn the brush piles they created to prevent future wild fires. If we were to burn to char and not to ash and then spread it throughout our forest floors, we would not only be sequestering carbon of the atmosphere we would also be regenerating our top soil and filtering our rain water. Biochar needs to start being made. Educating the forest service and getting them on board with making biochar could solve a lot of our global problems.
