BIOCHARMA’S mission is to educate people and farmers about how to make biochar. Understanding the benefits of how it increases the soils ability to retain water, allowing forests to increase growth while reducing fire hazards.
Biological farming is nature’s way of functioning with the soil microbe biome. Which impacts the soil health, lowers overhead for farmers, increases nutrient density and higher yields.
WHAT IS BIOCHAR?
Biochar is a charcoal made from a high heat oxygen deprived fire. The charcoal gets added with biology and mixed into compost, livestock pens, our forest floors and provides carbon sinks/carbon sequestration. It has many benefits to soil health, cleans our air and our water. Biochar’s high porosity gives it the ability to hold onto water and nutrients. It acts as a microbe hotel, creating a beneficial relationship with plants and fungi.
